Declarations to protect my family are so important to me. I use them to start and to end our day as a family. We use them together as a family as well to remind ourselves of who we are as God’s children and feel confident in His protection over us.
In this article, we will look at some of the decrees and declarations you can use for your family for their daily protection. Many of them are my own declarations to protect my family daily. Nehemiah 4:14 says “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
It is our duty to declare the promises of God concerning the protection of our families.

- No weapon formed against us shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against us in judgement shall be condemned.
- God is our hiding place. He will protect us from trouble and surround us with songs of deliverance.
- Our God is faithful and He will strengthen us and protect us from the evil one.
- Heavenly Father, may the presence of the Holy Spirit in this family make us conscious of your messages to us. When you are warning us of danger, may we hear you loud and clear.
- We can have peace of mind because we trust in God. he keeps us in perfect peace.
- Because our minds are stayed on you O Lord, we know that you will continue to keep us in perfect peace.
- We are soaked in the blood of Jesus and are therefore untouchable to any evil.
- We praise you Lord because you sustain this family and make us dwell in safety.
- God will never leave us nor forsake us so we do have to fear anything or anyone.
- Please send your guardian angels to protect this family in our going out and our coming in and to help us whenever danger is near.
- Thank you God that you are the head of this family.
11 Psalms for protection of your family
The Psalms are loaded with protection declarations that you can use for your family. Find a few examples below:
- Psalm 5:11 – But let all you take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
- Psalm 9:9-10 – The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken.
- Psalm 16:1 – Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
- Psalm 17:8 – Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.
- Psalm 23:4 – Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
- Psalm 25:20-21 – Guard my soul and save me; Do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in You. Let integrity and uprightness protect me, For I wait for You.
- Psalm 32:7 – Through Him, you are a force of nature against evil, darkness, and unexpected situations that have the potential to make you stray against Him. Stand firm in the belief that He will protect you, and you will have the power to move mountains.
- Psalm 34:7 – The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.
- Psalm 91:10-11 – No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
- Psalm 121:5-8 – The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm– he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
- Psalm 140:4 – Keep me safe, LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from the violent, who devise ways to trip my feet.
Those are my favorite declarations to protect my family from the book of Psalms. However, of course, there are breathtaking ones from other parts of the Bible as well.

- Exodus 23:27 – “I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion among all the people to whom you come, and will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.
- 2 Thessalonians 3:3 – But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
- Proverbs 2:8 – For he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.
- Proverbs 3:26 – for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.
- 2 Samuel 22:3 – The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
- Isaiah 41:10 – So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
- Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD.
- Jeremiah 39:17-18 – “But I will deliver you in that day,” says the LORD, “and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid. For I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword; but your life shall be as a prize to you, because you have put your trust in Me,” says the LORD.’”
- Zephaniah 3:17 – The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet [you] with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
